Performance improvements

April 18th, 2007 Mick

Some performance improvements have been made, so those flight searches should be shooting through a lot quicker now.

I’ve noticed FareFetched is starting to get mentioned in a few places now and traffic is growing consistently, so welcome to all new FareFetchers!

Hopefully traffic growth will be fairly steady so that performance of the site isn’t affected as more people start to use the service. If you have any problems with performance, please bear with us as we sort through any teething issues.

April 3rd, 2007 Mick

Some more improvements - the surrounding dates graph now shows the cheapest flight per day over a period of 2 weeks! This will make it very handy to find cheap flights when your flight date is flexible.

A couple of new features.

March 22nd, 2007 Mick

You can now filter flights by the type of fare - Economy, Flexible and Business. This should make it easier to locate a flight if you’re specifically looking for a flexible or business fare.

Also the fare history graphs have been improved, and the departing and arriving airport information is also displayed - this is mainly applicable to Melbourne which has two airports, Tullamarine and Avalon…

Thanks for the all the support so far… Happy FareFetching

Introducing FareFetched

March 17th, 2007 Mick

Thanks for checking out FareFetched.com.au

After around 4 months of working on this in our spare time, FareFetched is ready to be unleashed to the Australian public.

FareFetched will make it easier than ever before to find cheap flights in Australia - not only can you compare flights from all the major carriers, but search over a period of time and even track the price history of individual fares.

We’ve got plenty of ideas to go, and we’d love to hear your feedback…
